Our club member Sylvia has just released a book called “The Pink Rose & Love Was My Business: Memoirs of a Matchmaker”. Sylvia D. London has had a varied and interesting career life. She was a teacher, counselor and businesswoman. For over five years she owned and operated an introduction service in Vancouver, Canada. She belongs to a writers’ club and lives in Medicine Hat, Alberta, with her cats.
The Pink Rose is a memoir-based novella about a difficult relationship. The main character is a woman who meets and marries a man whom she loves and leaves because of abuse and manipulation. The story keeps the reader occupied until its unexpected ending. Love Was My Business is a memoir about the author’s experience as a matchmaker. Her insights into what constitutes a successful relationship are inspiring. It is a book for anyone who has considered owning or joining an introduction service.
